(Sept. 11 Photo) Gnarly Knots Pretzel Company is a small business that has two locations. One in Winfield, IL and one in Barrington, IL. These are the best pretzels you will ever have. They have traditional Bavarian style pretzels that are great in their own right - especially with one of their dipping sauces. Homemade soups are also on the menu, usually one per day with previous days soups available in their freezer.
The real star of the show here though is Gnarly Knots topped and stuffed selections. The Three Cheese Stuffed is my favorite, but I love trying their specials. Every day is a different stuffed pretzel.

Mondays- Pepperoni Pizza Stuffed
Tuesdays- Taco Tuesday! Steak Taco and Cheese Stuffed
Wednesdays- Reuben Stuffed
Thursdays- Italian Beef Stuffed
Fridays- Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese Stuffed
Saturdays- Surprise Savory Special and Surprise Sweet Special- usually announced a few days before on Gnarly Knots Facebook page.
They do fun things for holidays/special occasions available for pre-order. Birthday cake (vanilla or chocolate) stuffed pretzels, Oktoberfest pretzels and beer cheese sauce, Father's Day Charcuterie pretzel platters & more. The Christmas Wreath and Cinnamon Cream Sauce is one of my favorites. This was ours from last December.
They are open for lunch only!!
Monday-Friday 11am-4pm/ Saturday 11am-3pm/ Sunday Closed
If you have your heart set on a specific special my best advice is to go as early as possible. When they sell out, that is it for the day.
This place is a gem and I hope you all get to try it!
